Now, the Phillies’ already formidable starting rotation is set to improve even further following their latest trade.

The Philadelphia Phillies had the fifth-lowest runs allowed in the NL last season, and their latest trade could elevate their strong rotation to an elite level.
Reports indicate the Phillies have acquired Miami Marlins pitcher in a notable trade that also brings catcher Paul McIntosh to Philadelphia.
In return, the Phillies are sending top shortstop prospect Starlyn Caba, now ranked as Miami’s No. 3 prospect per MLB.com, along with outfield prospect Emaarion Boyd.
Luzardo, who posted a 3.48 ERA over 50 starts between 2022 and 2023, was limited to 12 starts last season and ended with a 5.00 ERA. If he can return to form, he could become a frontline starter for an already impressive Phillies rotation.
