The Saints will face another new offensive system to learn in 2025. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Seahawks are hiring Klint Kubiak as their new offensive coordinator. Kubiak had two interviews with Seattle, including an in-person meeting less than two weeks ago. Although the Browns showed interest in him, Kevin Stefanski ultimately chose to promote internally.
If New Orleans were to hire someone like Mike McCarthy, parts of their current offensive system might carry over. McCarthy employs a West Coast offense that emphasizes pre-snap motion and play action. While Kubiak initially had a positive impact, it tapered off, leaving the Saints with memories of their strong performance in the first two weeks of the season. Notably, New Orleans is scheduled to play the Seahawks on the road in 2025.
Meanwhile, the Tennessee Titans are set to hire Dave Ziegler, a New Orleans Saints front office member, as their next general manager, according to Senior NFL reporter Albert Breer. The deal is reportedly in its final stages.
The Titans did not make a coaching change this offseason but were one of five teams to replace their general manager. Ran Carthon, who served in the role for two years, was fired after Tennessee finished 3-14, the worst record in the league. They now hold the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Ziegler, 47, spent the 2024 season as a personnel advisor for the Saints, working in a front office that included experienced executives like Jeff Ireland, Randy Mueller, and current GM Mickey Loomis. Before his time in New Orleans, Ziegler was the Raiders’ general manager from 2022 to 2023 and spent nearly a decade in the Patriots’ front office (2013-2021).
The Saints wrapped up their season with a 5-12 record and own the ninth overall pick in the upcoming draft. They remain the only NFL team still searching for a new head coach.
