The Buffalo Bills enter the offseason facing several key decisions, one of which involves strengthening the supporting cast around Josh Allen.
One potential move Buffalo could explore is trading for Denver Broncos veteran wide receiver Courtland Sutton.
Sutton is set to enter the final year of his contract, and with Denver unlikely to offer him a lucrative extension, a trade could be on the table. A proposed deal suggests Buffalo could land Sutton in exchange for a fourth-round pick—a move that would be a no-brainer for the Bills.
During the 2024 season, Sutton played all 17 games for Denver, recording 81 receptions for 1,081 yards and eight touchdowns. His production would be a significant boost to Buffalo’s offense.
The Bills had hoped Amari Cooper would provide a similar impact, but he struggled to make an impact after his midseason acquisition. Sutton, however, could be the reliable playmaker Buffalo has been seeking.
Buffalo could choose to sign Sutton to a long-term deal or simply use him as a high-impact addition for 2025. Either way, his presence would elevate the Bills’ offense.
While just a speculative idea, the move makes a lot of sense. Buffalo is determined to upgrade its roster after another playoff disappointment, and acquiring Sutton could be a key step toward making a Super Bowl push.
