Alabama football has secured a commitment from, a former Michigan recruit.
The four-star defensive back announced on Monday that he is switching his commitment to the Crimson Tide.
“Happy to announce my commitment to the University of Alabama,” Taylor shared on social media. “I’m blessed for the opportunity, and I look forward to playing for Coach DeBoer and his staff. Roll Tide!”
According to the 247Sports Composite, Taylor ranks as the No. 7 safety and No. 59 overall prospect in the 2025 recruiting class. The 6-foot, 174-pound athlete is from Winter Garden, Florida. His father, Ike Taylor, played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for ten years and won two Super Bowls.
Taylor’s commitment brings Alabama’s 2025 recruiting class to 21 prospects. He is the fifth-highest-rated player in the class, behind four five-star recruits: quarterback Keelon Russell, offensive lineman Michael Carroll, cornerback Dijon Lee, and offensive lineman Ty Haywood.
Taylor joins Lee and Chuck McDonald as the three defensive backs in the 2025 class.
