ST. LOUIS (WICS) — The St. Louis Cardinals revealed on Thursday that they have signed Phil Maton to a one-year deal.
A 2011 graduate of Glenwood High School, Maton posted a 3.66 ERA across 71 appearances for the Mets and Rays during the 2024 season.
The Cardinals mark Maton’s fifth MLB team, having previously pitched for the Padres, Guardians, Astros, Rays, and Mets.
Maton holds a career ERA of 4.16.
