The Los Angeles Chargers have reached an agreement with cornerback Benjamin St-Juste.
St-Juste (pronounced saint-JUICE) spent the past four seasons in Washington after being selected 74th overall in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Over 54 regular-season games, he started 45 times, recording 206 tackles (162 solo), three sacks, one interception, 34 pass breakups, four tackles for loss, four forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. In 2023, he posted a career-best 17 pass breakups, ranking fourth in the NFL that season. He also played in all three of Washington’s playoff games last year, registering two tackles.
A native of Montreal, St-Juste played two seasons at Minnesota (2019-20), earning All-Big Ten Honorable Mention in 2019. In 18 games for the Gophers, he totaled 59 tackles (47 solo), 1.5 tackles for loss, and 13 passes defensed. He began his college career at Michigan, playing 12 games as a freshman in 2017 under current Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh before transferring to Minnesota.
