The Rams have reached an agreement with cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon on a one-year contract, as announced on Wednesday.
This will be Witherspoon’s third tenure with Los Angeles. In the previous season, he joined the Rams’ practice squad on September 11 before being promoted to the active roster over a month later. By the conclusion of the 2024 regular season, he had recorded 31 total tackles, nine pass breakups, and one interception while starting five of the 13 games he played.
The 29-year-old Witherspoon is set to enter his ninth NFL season and third with the Rams. He was originally selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the third round (66th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft out of Colorado.
