The Los Angeles Rams and head coach Sean McVay are aiming to regain their status as Super Bowl contenders in 2025. This offseason, the team has made a few key moves to help achieve that goal.
Among their acquisitions, the Rams have added star wide receiver Davante Adams and signed defensive tackle Poona Ford. While their offseason activity has been limited, these two additions should strengthen both the offense and defense.
Looking ahead to the 2025 NFL Draft next month, Los Angeles could be active in trade discussions. Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report has suggested the Rams consider trading out of the first round.
“In theory, the Rams could trade out of Round 1, add an extra Day 2 selection, and still land a quality prospect like Kentucky cornerback Maxwell Hairston, Florida State cornerback Azareye’h Thomas, or Oregon linebacker Jeffrey Bassa,” Knox wrote.
He further elaborated on why the Rams might explore this strategy:
“Given their cap situation and history of drafting and developing talent, the Rams should already be looking to move out of the first round. They currently hold the 26th overall pick, which could be a tricky spot in this year’s draft class.”
With the draft set to begin on April 24, Los Angeles has less than a month to decide whether to trade their pick or stay put and select at No. 26 overall.
