Former Houston safety AJ Haulcy is scheduled to visit LSU this Sunday as he continues to weigh his transfer options, according to his representatives at A\&P Sports Agency.
Haulcy, who visited Miami earlier in the week, is still evaluating his choices, with LSU, Miami, and SMU currently making up his top three schools. His agency confirmed Friday morning that he will travel to Baton Rouge for the weekend.
The 6-foot, 215-pound senior earned first-team All-Big 12 honors last season after recording 74 tackles, five interceptions, and 13 pass breakups.
A native of Houston, Haulcy began his college career at New Mexico, where he played in 12 games and made nine starts as a freshman. He later transferred to Houston, starting all 24 games over the past two seasons. In 2023, he led the Cougars with 98 tackles and saw improvement in his pass coverage, finishing the year tied for the Big 12 lead in interceptions.
Now entering his senior year, Haulcy entered the transfer portal this spring with goals of competing in the SEC, contending for a national championship, and boosting his NFL draft profile. His agency said LSU’s financial offer is “competitive,” though they declined to share specifics.
During his Miami visit earlier this week, Haulcy received a police escort and met with rapper Rick Ross.
LSU, which currently holds the nation’s No. 1 transfer class per 247Sports with 17 additions, recently picked up USF defensive lineman Bernard Gooden as their first spring portal signee.
