
Tennessee in the Running for 2026 Football Commit
Five-star running back Walton has announced commitment to Tennessee over Stanford, Notre Dame, Florida, and Alabama.
The 5-foot-9, 205-pound standout hails from Central High School in Carrollton, Georgia. According to 247Sports, Walton is rated as the No. 10 running back in the 2026 class and the No. 18 overall player in Georgia.
Tennessee extended an offer to Walton on February 25, 2023. He made an unofficial visit for the Vols’ game against South Carolina in 2023, returned on June 23, 2024, took part in Tennessee’s junior day on January 18, and attended the spring scrimmage on April 7.
Walton is scheduled to visit Tennessee again on June 20, which will conclude a series of visits to his top schools.
The Vols currently hold seven commitments in their 2026 class: quarterback Faizon Brandon, wide receiver Tyreek King, tight end Carson Sneed, offensive lineman Gabriel Osenda, wide receiver Tyran Evans, linebacker Braylon Outlaw, and defensive lineman C.J. Edwards.
