BREAKING: Seven members of LSU’s beach volleyball team, the Sandy Tigs, named CCSA All-Academic Honors

BATON ROUGE – Seven members of LSU’s beach volleyball team, the Sandy Tigs, were named to the CCSA All-Academic Team on Friday.

To qualify for the honor, student-athletes must have at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA, be at least academic sophomores, have completed a full academic year at their current institution, and participated in at least 50 percent of their team’s matches during the season.

Graduate student Gabi Bailey, pursuing a master’s in business administration, holds a 3.92 GPA. During her time at LSU, she has earned AVCA First and Second Team All-American recognition, an AVCA Top Flight honor on Court 1, and four CCSA Pair of the Week awards.

Parker Bracken, a senior majoring in construction management, maintained a 3.52 GPA and closed out her collegiate career with 105 total wins—placing her third all-time in LSU Beach Volleyball history behind Claire Coppola (121) and Kristen Nuss (139). Bracken capped off the 2025 season as an AVCA First Team All-American.

Emily Meyer, who earned a 3.87 GPA in psychology, plans to attend PT school at LSU-New Orleans. She posted a 25-9 record in her senior season and was recognized in 2024 with an AVCA Top Flight honor alongside Yali Ashush on Court 5.

Aubrey O’Gorman, also a senior, graduated with a 3.41 GPA. She earned Top Flight honors in 2024 with Ella Larkin on Court 3 and played a key role for the Tigers in 2025, mostly competing on Courts 2 and 3.

Kate Baker, a redshirt sophomore from New Orleans, is studying marketing and holds a 3.57 GPA. She played primarily on Courts 4 and 5 during the 2025 season.

Tatum Finlason, a sophomore psychology major, recorded a 3.34 GPA and competed in nearly every match this season, racking up 23 wins in her first year as a starter. She and Baker became one of the team’s most reliable duos, making a statement with a crucial win over No. 4 USC on Court 4 at the Death Volley Invitational.

Rounding out the honorees is Skylar Martin, a sophomore kinesiology major with a stellar 4.23 GPA. Martin finished the 2025 season with a 26-8 record and was also named to the CCSA All-Freshman Team in 2024.
