The New York Jets may be considering trading star running back Breece Hall this season, as he’s entering the final year of his rookie deal and appears unlikely to be re-signed. With promising young backs Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis waiting in the wings, the Jets might see this as an opportunity to move Hall while he still has value.
Before pulling the trigger on any deal, New York would need to evaluate all potential trade partners carefully.
Anthony Palacios of Last Word On Sports floated the idea of a possible trade to Jim Harbaugh’s Los Angeles Chargers. He noted that while the Chargers added Najee Harris and first-round pick Omarion Hampton this offseason, their long-term backfield situation remains in flux. Harbaugh is seeking a physical, yet dynamic ground game to complement Justin Herbert, and Hall could add speed and depth. Harris, who may be a short-term solution, could be replaced after the season, making room for a more versatile option like Hall.
That said, with both Harris and Hampton in the fold, it’s unlikely the Chargers would aggressively pursue another back.
If the Chargers aren’t the right fit, the Jets still have other potential trade partners. Teams like the Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals, or New Orleans Saints could emerge as logical destinations for Hall.
