La Liga champions Barcelona reportedly still have the opportunity to reopen negotiations with AC Milan regarding a potential move for Rafael Leão.
According to *Diario Sport*, who shared an update on Saturday, Barcelona are once again exploring options for a new left winger. This renewed search comes after Athletic Club’s Nico Williams — previously seen as a near-certain summer signing — surprised many by signing a long-term extension with Bilbao.
In response, sporting director Deco and his team have turned their attention back to Premier League stars Luis Díaz and Marcus Rashford. However, Rafael Leão remains a viable alternative.
*Sport* reports that discussions over Leão had already taken place last summer and could be revisited, facilitated by Jorge Mendes — while not Leão’s agent, he has strong influence over the player and maintains good ties with Milan.
At present, Leão isn’t considered a top priority for Barcelona, but he remains a name to watch in the coming weeks.
