Norwich City are close to finalising the signing of Brøndby striker Mathias Kvistgaarden for an initial fee of around £6.9 million.
The Canaries have triggered a release clause in the Danish international’s contract.
The agreement also includes performance-related bonuses and a sell-on clause for Brøndby.
Kvistgaarden, 23, is currently in Norwich undergoing a medical ahead of his proposed move to Carrow Road. He enjoyed a prolific season with Brøndby, netting 23 goals in 38 appearances across all competitions, a run of form that earned him his Denmark debut against Northern Ireland in June.
New head coach Liam Manning, appointed last month, has overseen an active summer of recruitment, with six players already signed: goalkeepers Dan Grimshaw, Vladan Kovacevic, and Louie Moulden; defenders Jakov Medic and Harry Darling; and midfielder Jacob Wright.
Norwich kick off their Championship campaign at home to Millwall on 9 August.
