Charlton Athletic confirmed the news this morning through an announcement on their official website.
Scottish international Newsham, 25, joined the Addicks last summer after departing Sheffield United. She made an impressive impact during her debut season at The Valley, featuring in 23 matches across all competitions and delivering a series of standout performances.
With five years of experience in the Barclays WSL2, Newsham has established herself as a top talent in her position. She now looks to build on that success going into the 2025/26 campaign.
Speaking after signing her contract extension, Newsham said: “I’m really happy to be staying at Charlton for another year. I loved my first season here and feel I’ve grown a lot, both as a player and a person. I’m looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish together this season.”
She joins teammates Jodie Hutton, Gloria Siber, Karin Muya, Elisha N’Dow, and Kiera Skeels in renewing their contracts, as head coach Karen Hills continues to strengthen her squad ahead of the upcoming season.
