According to Hatam Shiralizadeh via FCInter1908, agents have recently reached out to Mehdi Taremi’s camp to explore the possibility of a move.
Taremi joined Inter Milan last summer on a multi-year deal after his contract with Porto expired.
However, his time in Serie A has been disappointing.
Once regarded as one of Europe’s most lethal forwards, he has now become a peripheral figure at Inter.
Mehdi Taremi Could Make a Return to Porto
Taremi has struggled to find form at Inter, scoring only three goals in 43 appearances across all competitions.
Notably, his sole Serie A goal came from a penalty.
Unsurprisingly, Cristian Chivu’s squad is keen to let the Iranian forward leave this summer.
Although clubs like Besiktas and several Premier League sides have shown interest, a return to Porto remains a strong possibility.
Heading back to his former club might be just what Taremi needs to revive his career.
After all, he is Porto’s third highest all-time scorer with 91 goals.
