The 20-year-old midfielder joins Bradford City after spending 15 years with Everton, having first signed with the Toffees at just five years old. He spent last season on loan at Chesterfield, making 30 appearances in Sky Bet League Two, including their play-off semi-final clash with Walsall.

Speaking about the move, Metcalfe said: “I’m absolutely delighted to sign with the club. I’m really looking forward to spending at least the next three years here. I can’t wait to meet the fans – the support and atmosphere they create is something special.”
