It was a productive bye week for head coach P.J. Fleck and his staff, as the Minnesota Golden Gophers secured seven new commitments to their recruiting class — three of whom come from the junior college level. Among them was safety Michael Graham Jr., one of three official visitors from Hutchinson Community College who pledged to the Gophers last week.

Scouting Overview
Originally a three-star quarterback recruit out of high school, Graham committed to Houston before taking the JUCO route. Now excelling as a defensive back, he’s posted 22 tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack, and four interceptions this season. A versatile and hard-hitting defender, Graham brings flexibility to Minnesota’s secondary — capable of lining up at either safety position or in the nickel role. With veterans Darius Green and Jai’Onte McMillan set to graduate, Graham could make an immediate impact as the Gophers’ nickel defender next season.
