USC appears to be closing in on another important addition to its top-ranked 2026 recruiting class. Four-star wide receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt has now been projected to flip his commitment from Ohio State to USC, according to Rivals analyst Steve Wiltfong, with Adam Gorney and Greg Biggins offering similar predictions. The Trojans have been actively pursuing the Mater Dei standout since he originally committed to the Buckeyes on May 4, and their efforts may soon pay off as they look to add him to an already talent-heavy recruiting group.
Where Dixon-Wyatt Fits in USC’s Elite 2026 Class
Dixon-Wyatt’s impressive performance at Mater Dei suggests he could compete for immediate playing time as a freshman in Lincoln Riley’s offense. He would join a loaded group of 2026 offensive recruits that includes his teammate, five-star tight end Mark Bowman, as well as four-star running back Elbert Hill IV, wide receiver Bobbie Feaster, and quarterback Jonas Williams.
Ranked No. 18 among wide receivers in the 2026 class, Dixon-Wyatt is also considered the No. 15 recruit in California and No. 136 nationally. Oregon has remained heavily involved in his recruitment, but USC continues to hold strong momentum.
Adding Dixon-Wyatt would further bolster a class already stacked with California talent. Of USC’s 34 commits, 19 come from in-state, a key factor in Lincoln Riley securing the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class.
Can USC Keep Adding Top-Tier Wideouts?
Dixon-Wyatt would provide crucial depth at receiver, especially with Makai Lemon and Ja’Kobi Lane expected to depart for the NFL Draft. Riley’s strong history of developing wide receivers—highlighted by alumni like Jordan Addison, CeeDee Lamb, and Hollywood Brown—combined with USC’s legacy at the position, continues to attract elite pass catchers.
His familiarity with future USC teammates from Mater Dei, including Bowman and four-star tight end Josiah Jefferson, would also strengthen the Trojans’ offensive chemistry heading into 2026. The upcoming Big Ten schedule presents major challenges, with key home matchups against Ohio State, Oregon, and potentially Notre Dame, plus road trips to Indiana and Penn State.
A potential return from quarterback Jayden Maiava would further elevate USC’s offense. Maiava currently leads the Big Ten in passing, totaling 3,431 yards with 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Should he come back, Dixon-Wyatt could emerge as one of his primary receiving threats with Lemon and Lane moving on.
Regardless of whether Dixon-Wyatt ultimately flips, USC is expected to field one of the strongest offenses in both the Big Ten and the nation under Riley next season.
