Leeds United have been highly active early in this summer’s transfer window and show no signs of slowing down, with the club targeting several players ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign.
One key name on their radar is El Hadji Malick Diouf. The left-back is attracting interest from several Premier League clubs, though West Ham currently appears to be leading the race. Slavia Prague reportedly value the 20-year-old at around £21.6 million.
Manager Daniel Farke is also keen to reinforce his midfield and attacking options. Leeds have reportedly made an enquiry about signing Newcastle United’s Joe Willock as part of their ongoing talks involving Sean Longstaff. While Willock has played an important role for Newcastle in recent years, the club is said to be open to a potential sale.
In attack, Leeds continue to monitor Lecce striker Nikola Krstovic. However, the club faces a challenge, as Krstovic is believed to prefer staying in Italy or joining a side playing European football.
As a result, Leeds are now considering alternative options and are weighing up a move for OGC Nice forward Evann Guessand, according to TBR Football. Sunderland and Brentford are also showing interest in the 23-year-old, who scored 12 goals in Ligue 1 last season. Turkish side Fenerbahçe have also been linked, and Guessand’s representatives have reportedly held talks with several clubs as he prepares to leave Nice this summer.
Leeds first made contact with Guessand last month, and their interest remains strong. The player is said to be open to a move to England in search of a new challenge. Football Insider previously reported that Nice are seeking between £20 million and £25 million for Guessand, who is under contract until 2028.
Described by journalist Antonio Mango as having “electric” pace, Guessand enjoyed his most productive season to date last year. His ability to play across the front line—including on either wing or as a number 10—would offer valuable versatility to Farke’s squad.
