On Sunday evening, Jackson Presley took to social media to announce that he was decommitting from Boise State. Ranked as the No. 38 high school quarterback in the nation by 247Sports, Presley had drawn attention from programs across the country. His original pledge to Boise State came as a bit of a surprise, highlighting how much he valued both his faith and the success of the Broncos’ program.
However, those same priorities have now led him to choose a school closer to home — Montana State.
Presley has guided his high school team to back-to-back state championship appearances and is known for his powerful, accurate arm. He’s also recognized for his football IQ and ability to improvise under pressure.
His decommitment marks the third quarterback Boise State has lost in the last five years, and the second in as many cycles, following Hezekiah Millender in 2025 and Katin Houser in 2022.
In response, Boise State has extended offers to two quarterbacks in the 2026 class: Tayden Kaawa and Bryson Beaver.
