Former Leeds United goalkeeper Paul Robinson has revealed on Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast that manager Daniel Farke no longer views Jack Harrison as part of his plans ahead of the club’s return to the Premier League.
Due to the lack of interest at the £10 million valuation, Leeds are now open to loan offers in an effort to offload the 28-year-old winger.
Back in March, former West Ham scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Everton boss David Moyes also doesn’t see Harrison as part of his long-term vision, sharing Farke’s view that the player is not Premier League starter quality.
Despite this, both Harrison and Farke are reportedly eager to resolve the situation and will look to generate transfer interest this summer.
On February 28, Football Insider reported that Everton would not pursue a permanent deal for Harrison following his loan spells at Goodison Park. Leeds, preparing for life back in the top flight, are looking to strengthen their squad and are not planning for Harrison to be part of it.
Robinson, who maintains close ties to the club, emphasized that Harrison has no future at Elland Road.
“I don’t think he’s got a future at Leeds with Farke still in charge,” Robinson said. “The manager has been clear about his willingness to let him go—whether that’s due to finances or other factors. When you consider the other personalities Farke has moved on from, it’s clear he prefers a different profile of player.”
Harrison, under contract until 2028 after joining from Manchester City for £10 million in 2021, is unlikely to command the same fee now.
“A loan deal with a potential fee involved seems the most realistic scenario. That bridge between Harrison and the club has been burned. If you asked both the manager and the player, I think they’d agree it’s time to move on,” Robinson concluded.
Meanwhile, Leeds are monitoring Everton striker Beto’s situation following the Merseyside club’s recent agreement to sign Thierno Barry from Villarreal. According to Brown, Beto is on Farke’s radar as Leeds aim to reinforce their attacking options this summer.
