
Jacob Savage, a three-star linebacker from Union, Kentucky, has revealed his top seven schools list, which includes the Indiana Hoosiers alongside Michigan State, Purdue, Louisville, Northwestern, Minnesota, and Georgia Tech.
Savage, who is part of the 2026 recruiting class, currently holds an overall rating of 87 on 247Sports. He is ranked as the No. 48 linebacker in the class and as the No. 5 player from Kentucky, placing No. 585 overall in the 247Sports composite rankings.
The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Savage had an impressive junior season, recording 141 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, three sacks, and an interception, while helping his team win a 6A state title.
Savage plans to visit Bloomington, Indiana, on June 6th, and has several other visits scheduled, including to Georgia (May 18th), Northwestern (March 21st), Michigan State (March 29th), Indiana (April 5th), Purdue (April 12th), and Minnesota (April 19th). His other visits include Michigan State on May 30th.
The 2026 class will be the second full recruiting class under head coach Curt Cignetti and his staff. Indiana’s 2025 class finished in the top 50 nationally, and they aim to finish even higher with the 2026 class.
