BREAKING: Maxx Crosby confirm a huge contract with Raiders after five different head coaches hiring him during Super Bowl week — he has never been “more optimistic” about the future of the franchise.

Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby has been one of the few constants within the organization since joining the team in 2019.

With the hiring of Pete Carroll, the All-Pro pass rusher is now on his fifth head coach. However, during an interview with NBC’s Pro Football Talk at Super Bowl week, Crosby expressed that he has never been “more optimistic” about the team’s future.

“I’ve had doubts in the past,” Crosby admitted. “This past year was the toughest of my career—dealing with injuries all season, enduring a 10-game losing streak. It takes a toll mentally and makes you start questioning a lot.”

As NBC Sports’ Josh Alper noted, Crosby has made it clear he wants to be a driving force in the Raiders’ championship pursuit rather than joining a team that’s already built to contend. However, he acknowledged that he hasn’t always been convinced Las Vegas is the place where that can happen.

Crosby appears to be fully on board with Carroll and new general manager John Spytek. He attended their introductory press conference and later discussed it on his podcast, The Rush.

“It was great to finally talk to Pete,” Crosby said. “I actually met him before he was hired when he came in for his interview. I ran into him and [Raiders owner Mark Davis], and we had a good conversation. Today, I got to spend a little more time with him—not a ton, but we got to talk more.

“John Spytek, the new GM, texted me right away when he got the job. We had some great conversations today. I met their families and got a sense of their vision for the team moving forward. It was great to see everyone aligned—the new front office, ownership, and the coaching staff.”
