BREAKING NEWS: Auburn Tigers commit 5-star TE and another 4-star DL high over Alabama

Auburn football has secured an official visit from Iowa’s top-ranked recruit, four-star tight end Evan Jacobson. Jacobson, ranked as the No. 13 tight end in the 2026 recruiting class, is set to visit the Tigers on June 13.

With more than 25 offers, Auburn faces stiff competition for Jacobson’s commitment from powerhouse programs like Penn State, Ohio State, and Baylor. Additionally, he recently received an offer from Notre Dame, last season’s national championship runner-up. Before his official visit, Jacobson will have already been to Auburn multiple times, including for the Tigers’ Junior Day event in January.

Auburn Pursuing Top Defensive Lineman

On the defensive side, Auburn is heavily recruiting four-star defensive lineman Bryce Perry-Wright, ranked No. 2 at his position and No. 7 overall in Georgia for the 2026 class.

Perry-Wright visited Auburn for Junior Day last month and spoke highly of his experience. “I just kicked it with the coaches, got in a vibe with them, and kept building that relationship,” he told Auburn Rivals. Despite not yet having a ranked list of top schools, he noted that Auburn stands “pretty high” in his recruitment.

According to 247Sports, Perry-Wright has a series of official visits planned for the summer, including trips to Auburn, Clemson, Texas, Georgia, and Texas A&M.
