AC Milan are prepared to invest heavily in strengthening their attack during the current summer transfer window. Massimiliano Allegri has specifically requested a striker who not only excels as a clinical finisher inside the box but also contributes tactically in a manner similar to Olivier Giroud. The goal is to identify a forward who complements Santiago Gimenez, helping to create a more balanced and versatile frontline.
One of the initial targets was Lorenzo Lucca, but with the striker edging closer to a move to Napoli, Milan’s management duo of Furlani and Tare have intensified discussions with agents to explore alternative options. According to Corriere dello Sport, one of the most intriguing possibilities is Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface. The Nigerian forward is reportedly open to the switch, though the main challenge lies in Leverkusen’s valuation—currently between €40–45 million. Although Boniface, 24, struggled with groin injuries last season, he still managed to score 11 goals, and his price tag has dropped from the €60 million once demanded.
Milan have also made enquiries about Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson and Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta. Jackson, in particular, nearly joined Milan during his stint at Villarreal. As for Mateta, while there have been conversations with his representatives, no formal talks have taken place with Crystal Palace, according to Milannews.it.
