BREAKING NEWS: Cincinnati Reds sign another key man to four Major League from Rangers

 

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – The Cincinnati Reds announced on Monday that they have acquired right-handed pitcher Owen White from the Texas Rangers in exchange for cash considerations.

White, 25, appeared in three relief outings across four Major League stints with Texas in 2024, recording a 24.00 ERA (3 innings pitched, 8 earned runs). Most of his season was spent with AAA-Round Rock, where he compiled a 2-8 record and a 5.64 ERA (99 innings pitched, 68 runs, 62 earned runs) with 87 strikeouts over 29 games, including 15 starts.

A second-round pick by the Rangers in the 2018 MLB Draft, White also made two relief appearances for Texas during the 2023 season.

The Reds now have 40 players on their 40-man roster.
