The Dolphins announced this morning that they’ve signed defensive tackle Ben Stille, adding depth to their defensive line. He takes the roster spot left open after Terron Armstead was placed on the retired list.
Stille, heading into his third NFL season in 2025, originally joined Miami in 2022 as an undrafted free agent out of Nebraska. During his college career, he appeared in 53 games, recording 149 tackles, 31 tackles for loss, and 14.5 sacks.
As a rookie, Stille spent most of his time on Miami’s practice squad and was activated for one game before being signed by the Browns late in the season. He went on to play six games for Cleveland before being waived.
In 2023, he joined the Cardinals’ practice squad and appeared in five games. The following year, he began with Arizona again before signing with the Buccaneers, where he played in three games. After being waived, he returned briefly to the Cardinals’ practice squad.
Now, after being waived again last month, Stille has rejoined the Dolphins, bringing his NFL journey full circle. Over two seasons, he has totaled 17 tackles, three QB hits, and two sacks.
He joins a defensive line group that includes Benito Jones, Matt Dickerson, Zach Sieler, draft picks Kenneth Grant, Jordan Phillips, Zeek Biggers, undrafted free agent Alex Huntley, and waiver pickup Matthew Butler.
