BREAKING NEWS: Former Florida Football WR is back in the transfer portal after he flip out of gator to Miami as a four-star prospect in the class. He was part of the talented trio of Eugene Wilson and Aidan Mizell. Now He is set to return to Florida Gators as a 5-star key man for the 2025-26 season with a tough decision in the transfer portal

The spring transfer portal is about to open, and former Florida Gators wide receiver Andy Jean has announced his plans to re-enter it once it does.

Jean, a four-star recruit from Miami in the class of 2023, joined Florida alongside fellow promising receivers Eugene Wilson and Aidan Mizell.

At the time of his commitment, Jean was praised for his speed—he was part of Miami Northwestern’s state title-winning 4×100 relay team, and that track speed translated to the football field. His highlight tape includes several breakaway touchdowns against strong competition like Tampa Jesuit and IMG Academy. In a standout performance against IMG, he logged six receptions for 122 yards and two touchdowns, finishing the 2021 season with 40 catches, 733 yards, and eight touchdowns. Notably, he also showed a willingness to block, a trait not always seen in young receivers.

During his freshman season at Florida in 2023, Jean caught six passes for 97 yards. Unfortunately, injuries—most notably an upper-body issue—hampered his progress, limiting him to just five games over two seasons.

Jean first entered the portal in the winter and committed to Pittsburgh, choosing the Panthers over interest from Louisville. However, he announced yesterday via X (formerly Twitter) that he will be transferring once again, with three years of eligibility remaining.

His post read:
“I truly hate that I have to make this decision again! But I will be entering my name in the transfer portal. With 3 years of eligibility left”
