BREAKING NEWS: Georgia Land Star Quarterback on One Condition

The Georgia Bulldogs are heavily pursuing four-star quarterback Bowe Bentley, a top prospect in the 2026 recruiting class. According to Dawgnation’s Jeff Sentell, the only factor that could prevent Georgia from landing Bentley is a commitment from Jared Curtis, the No. 1 quarterback in the class. Sentell noted that if Bentley visits UGA on June 6, the Bulldogs will likely push hard to secure his commitment—unless Curtis pledges to Georgia on May 5, in which case Bentley’s visit may not even happen.

Georgia is still working to regain Curtis’ commitment. The five-star quarterback originally committed to the Bulldogs before reopening his recruitment, and he now has Georgia and Oregon as his final choices. On3’s Steve Wiltfong reported that Curtis will announce his decision on May 5.

Regardless of which quarterback they land, Georgia is set to secure a top-10 signal-caller in the class. Sentell wrote that the Bulldogs are expected to sign either the highly-touted Curtis or the rapidly rising Bentley. If Curtis returns to the program he previously committed to, Georgia will regain a top talent. If not, Bentley will emerge as their primary quarterback target.

According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Bentley is ranked among the top 125 overall recruits and is the No. 10 quarterback in the 2026 class. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound prospect is also the No. 18 player in Texas.
