Texas A&M has prioritized wide receiver talent in the transfer portal this offseason, and that focus continued this week with the addition of Houston Cougars transfer Jonah Wilson.
Wilson, a former four-star recruit, dealt with injuries during his two seasons at Houston, recording 11 receptions for 118 yards and one touchdown. However, his size (6’2″) addresses a key need in the Aggies’ receiver room after Noah Thomas’s departure. He also adds much-needed depth following the announcement that recent transfer Micah Hudson is stepping away from the team for undisclosed reasons.
While Wilson won’t have anything handed to him upon arriving in College Station, he brings three years of eligibility and the potential to develop into a key contributor at a position that lacked consistency for Texas A&M in 2024.
