The spring transfer portal is often considered the quieter of college football’s two major windows — but don’t tell Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz that.
On Tuesday, Drinkwitz kept the momentum going by landing another high-potential addition: Florida State offensive lineman Jaylen Early.

The 6-foot-4, 305-pound lineman started 7 games and played in 17 during his time with the Seminoles. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
Early arrives at Missouri with solid experience, having started and rotated at FSU — a program that recently endured a rough season under Mike Norvell. Despite the team’s struggles, Early stood out as their top offensive lineman, earning a 79 overall grade from Pro Football Focus. That mark would’ve placed him third among Mizzou’s linemen last year, behind Armand Membou and Cam’Ron Johnson.
While he’s exclusively played tackle, Early has the versatility to shift to guard if necessary. Still, with his experience and performance, the coaching staff appears to see him as a plug-and-play option for the 2025 offensive line.
