BREAKING NEWS: RANGERS welcome TEN new players to today with another loan deal

Brazilian left-back Jefté has become the latest player to head for the Ibrox exit, sealing a sensational return to his homeland with Palmeiras.

The 21-year-old had been locked in talks over the move for several days, with the São Paulo giants making him their top transfer priority this month. Despite a rocky spell in Glasgow — including a costly mistake against Viktoria Plzen in Europe — Palmeiras pressed ahead with their pursuit and have now got their man.

Rangers boss Russell Martin left Jefté out of the club’s European squad after confirming he had travelled back to Brazil, paving the way for the deal.

Reports suggest the Scottish side have pocketed around £6.5m for a player they signed for just £800k last year — a huge profit in a short space of time.

In a short statement, Rangers thanked Jefté for his service, noting his 56 appearances since joining in May 2024.

The Light Blues have already brought in cover at left-back with Jayden Meghoma on loan from Brentford, but with Ridvan Yilmaz also tipped to leave, Rangers could yet dip back into the market again.
