The Red Sox have reached a minor league deal with catcher Mark Kolozsvary, including an invite to major league spring training, according to ESPN’s Kiley McDaniel. This marks Kolozsvary’s second consecutive year with the Red Sox organization, as he played for their Triple-A Worcester team in 2024.
The 29-year-old has technically appeared in two MLB seasons, though his 2023 stint with the Orioles consisted of just one game without a plate appearance. In 2022, he played 10 games for the Reds, recording 21 plate appearances and going 4-for-20 with a home run and two doubles.
