According to reporter Lorenzo Lepore on X, Stoke City have agreed a €6.7million fee to sign Banik Ostrava midfielder Tomas Rigo. Personal terms are reportedly already agreed, with the deal expected to be confirmed after Ostrava’s game on Thursday.

Rigo, a five-time Slovak international, currently plays in the Czech Republic for Banik Ostrava, having joined from Slavia Prague in 2023. A product of Slavia’s academy and formerly with Ruzomberok in Slovakia, Rigo is primarily a central midfielder but can also operate on the left or as a defensive or attacking pivot. His versatility could prove crucial for Stoke, particularly after the departures of Burger and Sidibe.
A move to the Championship represents a step up, but Rigo’s senior international experience and high rating suggest he could be a smart acquisition for Robins’ squad.
Backing Robins With Another Summer Signing
