BREAKING: Stoke City PULL OFF Transfer Stunner!

Stoke City have confirmed the signing of 25-year-old striker Róbert Boženík on a three-year deal from Portuguese side FC Boavista.

The former Feyenoord forward brings a wealth of experience, having earned 52 international caps for Slovakia, including four appearances at Euro 2024, and scoring seven goals for his country.

Boženík’s quality has been widely recognized — he claimed the Peter Dubovský Award as Slovakia’s top young talent in 2019, was named Boavista’s Player of the Season for 2023/24, and has 26 goals in 87 starts across spells in the Netherlands, Germany, and Portugal.

Sporting Director Jonathan Walters shared his excitement:

“Robert is a player we’ve tracked for a long time. He’s a tireless, team-oriented striker with international pedigree and the ability to make a real difference here. We acted decisively to secure him, despite strong interest from several top-flight clubs. His intelligence, versatility, and team-first attitude are exactly what we want at Stoke City.”

Boženík, Stoke’s sixth signing of the summer, spoke about his decision:

“Stoke fans can count on me to give everything for the team and constantly look to score. From the owner, to the Sporting Director, to the Manager — I felt real trust. I was especially impressed by how the Manager has developed strikers who’ve gone on to play at the top level. That played a big role in my decision to join the Potters.”
