Texas A&M bolstered its roster through the transfer portal on Sunday, landing former Washington Huskies and Indiana Hoosiers cornerback Jordan Shaw.
Shaw redshirted at Indiana in 2023 before transferring to Washington for the 2024 season. He played in all 13 games for the Huskies, starting eight, and recorded 37 tackles, four tackles for loss, and six pass breakups. Shaw led Washington’s secondary in tackles for loss and ranked second on the team in pass breakups. Primarily playing at the nickel position, he could fill a similar role for the Aggies, potentially competing with or succeeding Tyreek Chappell, who is recovering from a season-ending injury.
With three years of eligibility remaining, Shaw becomes the second cornerback to join Texas A&M this offseason, alongside Georgia transfer Julian Humphrey.
The Aggies now have 12 transfer commitments, with a class ranked No. 5 nationally. Nine of those commits address key areas of need at wide receiver, cornerback, and defensive line.
