As USC continues recruiting for the class of 2026, head coach Lincoln Riley made a trip to Texas to visit key targets, including four-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo in Mansfield, TX.
Ranked No. 71 nationally, the No. 8 offensive tackle, and the No. 9 player in Texas by the On3 Industry Rankings, Ojo recently competed in the 2025 Navy All-American Bowl on the West Team, showcasing his talent at an elite level.
Ojo is being pursued by several top programs, including Texas. He has already taken a few unofficial visits, with his most recent being to Texas on Jan. 25. He also has an official visit scheduled with the Longhorns on June 13.
While he has yet to visit USC, Riley’s recent trip could change that. USC originally extended an offer to Ojo in May. After their meeting, Ojo spoke with On3 about his conversation with Riley and his thoughts on the Trojans.
“I had a great time with Coach Riley,” Ojo told On3. “We were just talking ball the whole time and schemes.”
Ojo expressed interest in USC’s offensive system and what makes the program an intriguing option.
“What makes USC a good potential fit is the way they run their offense and the type of schemes Coach Riley runs that favors tackles,” he said. “Also, what continues to impress me about USC is the culture they have there.”
The Trojans will have to compete with Texas, Ohio State, Alabama, Notre Dame, and Michigan for Ojo’s commitment. The next step for USC is securing an official visit.
USC’s 2026 recruiting class is currently ranked No. 2 nationally, behind only Oregon. So far, the Trojans have landed five four-star commitments: linebacker Xavier Griffin, cornerback RJ Sermons, cornerback Brandon Lockhart, running back Shahn Alston, and defensive lineman Braeden Jones.
However, USC has yet to secure an offensive lineman. They have extended offers to 14 tackles—10 of whom are four-star prospects—with only one having committed elsewhere.
A key factor in Ojo’s decision could be early playing time, which makes Texas an appealing option.
“What continues to excite me about my opportunity with Texas is how Coach Flood sees me fitting in their offense and the chance of coming in early to compete for the starting job,” Ojo said.
With his recruitment still in the early stages, Ojo is expected to take multiple official visits before making a decision. Ohio State and Michigan are likely to receive visits as well. While Texas is currently the frontrunner, Riley and the Trojans will continue pushing to land the talented offensive tackle.
