BREAKING: West Ham Plot Daring Hijack of €15m Wonderkid — Brentford Stunned by Sudden Twist

West Ham Accelerate Move for Metz Starlet Idrissa Gueye Amid Premier League and Bundesliga Interest

West Ham are reportedly ramping up their pursuit of Metz striker Idrissa Gueye, with competition coming from Manchester United, Brentford, and Borussia Dortmund.

According to Foot Mercato, talks between the Hammers and Metz are “progressing well,” with new boss Graham Potter said to be “desperate” to land the 18-year-old. Metz are holding firm on a €15m (£13m) valuation.

Gueye — not to be confused with Everton’s Idrissa Gana Gueye — is considered one of Ligue 1’s brightest young talents. The 6ft 2in forward netted five goals and provided one assist last season, helping Metz secure promotion. He also made his senior debut for Senegal at just 16, following a prolific spell with Generation Foot, where he scored 13 goals in 28 games before joining Metz in 2023.

With Manchester United focused on RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, West Ham may now have a clearer path to securing Gueye’s signature as they hunt for fresh firepower up front.
