Jameis Winston broke the Browns’ single-game passing record with 497 yards, surpassing Josh McCown’s 457-yard performance against the Baltimore Ravens in 2015. Despite his impressive showing, Winston and the Browns fell short in a 41-32 loss to the Broncos.
After the game, former Bronco Jerry Jeudy, who had a record-breaking 245 receiving yards, reflected on the defeat: “Came up short. Got to find a way to finish, find a way to win,” he said via the Associated Press.
The game was ultimately decided with 1:48 remaining when Broncos defensive back Ja’Quan McMillian intercepted a pass and returned it 44 yards for a touchdown, sealing Denver’s victory.
