COMMITMENT DONE DEAL: Texas A&M Aggies Land flip Commitment From Oklahoma Sooners Pledge

With his weekend starting rotation already featuring three left-handed pitchers, it’s no surprise that Michael Earley has added another southpaw to his roster.

Elijah Williams, a left-handed pitcher from Norman, OK, chose to commit to Earley and the Aggies after decommitting from the Oklahoma Sooners last December.

On Wednesday afternoon, Williams made his official commitment to Texas A\&M by sharing a post on X with the caption “beyond blessed.”

Williams brings a three-pitch repertoire — a fastball, slider, and changeup — that has earned him a strong reputation as one of Oklahoma’s top pitchers.

In addition to his pitching, Williams is also a formidable presence at the plate and in the outfield. He was named Prep Baseball’s Oklahoma Player of the Week after going 9-for-16 at the plate and throwing a no-hitter with 13 strikeouts during the same stretch.

His addition highlights Michael Earley’s commitment to bringing in talented, young players, particularly on the mound, ensuring long-term pitching success for the team.

We’ve already seen the benefits of this approach in the 2025 season with Myles Patton, another left-handed pitcher who Earley brought in through the transfer portal and who has become a key player in the Aggie pitching staff for the season’s final games.
