The Arkansas Razorbacks are steadily building one of the nation’s premier college basketball programs under the leadership of head coach John Calipari.
In Calipari’s first season at the helm, Arkansas advanced to the Sweet 16, securing notable NCAA Tournament wins over higher-seeded teams Kansas and St. John’s.
As the program looks to build on that success, much of the focus is on its incoming recruiting class.
On Monday, Arkansas spotlighted a major achievement by top recruit Darius Acuff, who recently starred in the 2025 Iverson Classic — a prestigious high school basketball showcase. Acuff was named MVP of the event after delivering a standout performance with 32 points and 11 assists.

Rated as a five-star prospect by 247Sports, Acuff is ranked the No. 2 point guard and No. 10 overall player in the 2025 class. Before committing to Arkansas, he received offers from elite programs including Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Alabama, Indiana, Houston, Michigan State, Ohio State, and St. John’s.
Acuff joins a Razorbacks recruiting class ranked fifth nationally, which also includes five-star combo guard Meleek Thomas and four-star combo guard Isaiah Sealy.
