Arizona State football secured commitments from Texas State offensive lineman Jimeto Obigbo, Nebraska’s Xander Ruggeroli, and Oregon defensive lineman My’Keil Gardner on Sunday, according to reports from Pete Nakos of On3Sports and Chris Karpman of SunDevilSource.com.
Jimeto Obigbo
Obigbo played 67 snaps for Texas State in 2024 and did not participate in the Sun Devils’ matchup against the Bobcats on Sept. 12. In 2023, he served as Texas State’s starting right tackle, logging 1,002 total snaps.
The 6-foot-4, 357-pound senior previously started for the Incarnate Word Cardinals, a Division II team, where he recorded 967 snaps in 2022. Obigbo and current ASU offensive lineman Josh Atkins both graduated in 2021 from Mansfield Timberview High School in Arlington, Texas.
Xander Ruggeroli
A native of Las Vegas, Nevada, Ruggeroli attended Bishop Gorman High School. He received offers from Washington State, Nevada, and Arizona State before committing to Nebraska. Ruggeroli played in one game for the Cornhuskers in 2024 before redshirting.
The 6-foot-6, 285-pound lineman was ranked as the No. 162 offensive tackle prospect in the 2024 class by 247Sports.
My’Keil Gardner
Gardner arrives at ASU with four years of eligibility remaining. He played high school football at Liberty High School in Peoria, Arizona, and was ranked as the No. 55 defensive lineman prospect in the 2023 class by 247Sports.
Gardner played in three games in 2023, recording one tackle before redshirting. He redshirted again in 2024 after missing the entire season due to an undisclosed injury.
ASU’s 2025 Offensive and Defensive Lines
With the additions of Obigbo and Ruggeroli, ASU’s offensive line will largely remain intact for the 2025 season. Key returners include Josh Atkins, left guard Ben Coleman, right guard Kyle Scott, and right tackle Maxwell Iheanachor. Senior center Leif Fautanu, however, is departing due to the end of his eligibility.
On the defensive side, Gardner joins a unit expected to bring back several starters, including Clayton Smith, Prince Dorbah, C.J. Fite, and Zac Swanson.
