The Los Angeles Chargers have signed offensive lineman Elijah Ellis and released offensive tackle Tyler McLellan.

Roster Update

On June 17, 2025, the Chargers added Elijah Ellis, a 6’4″, 320–336 lb lineman who started all 13 games in 2024 for Marshall after transferring from Baylor. Ellis was a key piece in Marshall’s top-tier rushing attack and didn’t allow a single sack during high school.

To make space, the team waived Tyler McLellan, an undrafted free agent signed in 2024.

Ellis brings size, starting experience, and solid college production to a tackle group that includes Rashawn Slater, Joe Alt, and Trey Pipkins. His addition suggests developmental potential, while McLellan’s release clears the way for roster flexibility.
