The Los Angeles Rams have been proactive this offseason, aiming to build a championship-caliber roster through free agency and the NFL Draft. Following a strong season, they’ve had a productive offseason and still have time to make further additions before the summer ends.
To create space for new signings, the Rams have moved on from several players, allowing them to strengthen the roster. After resolving contract matters with Matthew Stafford, they’ve added talent around the veteran quarterback in preparation for another deep playoff push.
However, the Rams’ moves aren’t just about making the playoffs—they’re positioning themselves as potential Super Bowl contenders. With Stafford approaching the final years of his accomplished career, this is exactly where the team wants to be.
ESPN’s Lindsey Thiry highlighted the signing of Adams as the Rams’ best offseason move. She pointed out how competitive Los Angeles was against the Philadelphia Eagles in the postseason, playing them tougher than any other team.
“The Rams signing Adams [is the most significant overall move of the offseason so far]. After retaining Matthew Stafford with a reworked contract, the addition of Adams provides Stafford a 1-2 punch along with Nacua. For a team that missed the NFC Championship Game by a mere play last season, the addition of Adams should be enough to help bring another deep playoff run,” Thiry said.
Despite their strong offseason, the Rams still have roster needs to address if they want to transition from a very good team to a great one. Fortunately, they have more opportunities through free agency and the draft to fill those gaps.
Los Angeles is on track for an exciting season, but they must continue making smart moves to ensure success. While their aggressive approach to acquiring talent is admirable, it all has to come together on the field—otherwise, their offseason efforts will be meaningless.
