DONE DEAL: Sunderland confirm another signing of 20-year-old player signed a five-year deal contract

Sunderland continue to stay active in the transfer market, regularly confirming new additions to their squad.

The club recently unveiled the signing of 31-year-old Reinildo, who joined on a free transfer after leaving Atletico Madrid, agreeing to a two-year deal with the Black Cats.

Now, Sunderland have officially brought in another major addition — an attacking midfielder who had attracted interest from several top European sides.

Chemsdine Talbi Joins Sunderland on Five-Year Deal

Sunderland have announced the signing of Chemsdine Talbi from Belgian side Club Brugge. The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has signed a five-year contract, strengthening Régis Le Bris’ squad ahead of their 2025-26 Premier League campaign.

“Sunderland AFC are delighted to announce the signing of Chemsdine Talbi,” read the club’s official statement.

They added that Talbi, a winger by trade, arrives at the Stadium of Light for an undisclosed fee — though journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports the deal is worth €20 million plus €3 million in performance-related bonuses.

Speaking after his move, the Moroccan youngster said the club’s vision and youthful squad played a key role in his decision.

“I chose Sunderland because it’s a fantastic project with an exciting and talented group of young players — that really inspired me,” Talbi said.

With Talbi’s arrival, Sunderland have added another promising talent to a squad already being seen as a serious contender in the Premier League. How Régis Le Bris manages this group of emerging stars will be one of the key storylines moving forward.
