After an impressive junior season in which he earned First Team All-State honors in Alabama, wide receiver Corey Barber has attracted considerable attention from college programs. The unranked 2026 prospect from Spain Park High School in Birmingham has received 12 offers, including one from Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies.
“The coaches came through recently and stopped by,” Barber shared with Dawgman.com’s Scott Eklund. “They said they felt I’d be a great fit for their program. I work hard, I get open, and I’m productive. They liked what they saw and mentioned they want to bring me up for a visit soon, so we’re in the process of setting that up now.”
Standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 185 pounds, Barber was one of the most productive players in Alabama, recording 73 receptions for 1,434 yards and 17 touchdowns. His performance has earned him offers from schools like Arkansas, Oregon, and Washington, along with several Group of 5 programs.
Barber’s recruitment continues to gain momentum, and he has a clear idea of what he’s looking for in a college program.
“Many schools have come through, and I’m hoping to get even more offers once they see what I can do,” he said. “I plan to visit schools and check out what they have to offer, with the goal of making a decision before my senior season if possible. If not, definitely before the end of my senior year, because I want to sign in December. A great coaching staff is also a big factor for me. Do they develop players for the NFL? Do they genuinely care about you and take care of you? That’s really important to me.”
