However, Tipton later provided an update on Monday, noting that UNC is no longer in contention for the 21-year-old guard.

Additionally, Tipton revealed that, according to his sources, Kentucky is also not expected to pursue Claude.

As it stands, only a few programs appear to be seriously in the mix for the standout transfer.

Claude, who posted 15.8 points per game last season as a full-time starter at USC, still has one year of eligibility and currently ranks No. 34 in the transfer portal.

Meanwhile, UNC head coach Hubert Davis may have just one or two scholarship slots left to fill for the 2025-26 roster, depending on the decision of current portal entrant Ven-Allen Lubin.
