Evesham United: Mike Ford signs new two-year contract to Worcester Warriors

Evesham United are pleased to confirm that manager Mike Ford has agreed to a new two-year deal, with Worcester Warriors until at least the conclusion of the 2026–27 campaign.

The announcement was made on the club’s official social media channels, featuring Ford alongside Vice-Chairman Mick Brennan and Chairman Ged Bearcroft.

A UEFA A–licensed coach with a strong reputation, Ford took over managerial duties in 2022 and has since instilled both stability and ambition within the squad. A former professional defender, he made close to 500 league appearances with Cardiff City and Oxford United, achieving two career promotions.

Since his arrival, Ford has helped Evesham remain competitive in the Southern League while strengthening both the first team and the club’s youth development system, drawing on his considerable experience working with young talent.

Speaking about the new deal, Ford said:

“I’m thrilled to be continuing our journey here. The club’s ambition and backing match my own, and I’m committed to building on everything we’ve accomplished.”

Chairman Ged Bearcroft added:

“Mike has brought a level of professionalism and direction we deeply value. This extension reflects our confidence in the long-term vision we’re developing together.”
