Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has admitted he’s unsure when Erling Haaland will be back in action after the striker missed Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Leeds United due to a “minor injury” sustained in training.
Speaking after the Elland Road win, Guardiola said: “I don’t know” when Haaland might return. The Norwegian forward picked up the problem during Thursday’s training session, with the manager describing it as a “little injury.”
City’s next match is on Wednesday at home against Nottingham Forest, aiming for a fifth straight Premier League win, followed by an FA Cup fifth-round trip to Newcastle United three days later.
March also brings a Champions League round-of-16 tie against Real Madrid and the EFL Cup final versus Arsenal. Currently, City sit two points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal ahead of the Gunners’ London derby with Chelsea on Sunday.
